Welcome to Life Happens at the Table. I'm so glad you're here! Before we dive in, I’d love to share a little about myself and the heart behind this mission I feel so deeply called to pursue. ​I’m a wife, a mother to three grown daughters, a sister, daughter, aunt, cousin, friend, teammate, and so much more. Each of these experiences has shaped who I am—and continues to influence how I show up in the world. They’ve taught me the beauty of connection, the power of presence, and the importance of having real, honest conversations—especially around the table.​

 

So, where did Life Happens at the Table come from? I wish I could say the idea was all mine, but the truth is, it came from something bigger than me. In the spring of 2024, a friend invited me to a bible study. During the session I heard something that struck me like lightning—one of those moments that grabs you deep in your soul and won’t let go. Maybe you’ve experienced that too—where something hits you so hard, it's like a lightbulb blinking furiously above your head. That was my moment. Suddenly, thoughts started pouring in faster than I could write them down. Honestly, I didn’t catch much of the rest of the class because I was so consumed with what felt like a divine nudge to keep writing. And I did. I couldn’t stop. That moment was the spark—and Life Happens at the Table began to take shape.​​ I've found in my life that all sorts of life circumstances gather around some kind of table and my intention for this blog to encourage people to come back to the table- whether that be professionally, personally, or for your friends and family, or to learn how to manage your own table i.e. your life. I will share ideas and thoughts through my blog on how to gather at your table even if you haven't gathered at the table in a while, never had that experience, or would like to start a new tradition in your life or start a new one with your family and friends. ​​
