Welcome to Life Happens at the Table!
My name is Angela White, and a few years ago, I said yes to something that both intrigued and intimidated me—a Bible study. Walking into a room where you don’t know many people can feel overwhelming. I remember that hesitation well. But what I discovered on the other side of it changed me.
That small circle of women became more than a weekly study. It became a place of growth, encouragement, and deep connection. We were women navigating different seasons—celebrations, disappointments, uncertainty, joy—and somehow, around that table, we found common ground. It was there that the phrase came to me: life happens at the table.
When I paused to reflect, I realized how true that was. Some of the most significant moments of my life—both beautiful and heartbreaking—have unfolded at a table. Conversations over coffee. Family dinners. Hard news shared. Dreams celebrated. Honest prayers spoken. Tables have been the setting for connection, healing, laughter, and growth.
That realization stirred something in me, and through prayer and brainstorming, this space was born.
My hope is that Life Happens at the Table becomes a vibrant and meaningful place for you—a place where conversations unfold naturally, relationships blossom, and friendships are nurtured. Gathering around a table is about so much more than sharing a meal. It’s about creating a welcoming space where hearts open and stories are told.
Whether it’s dinner with family, lunch with friends, a game night, or a special celebration, every moment around the table offers an opportunity—to listen, to share, to encourage, and to truly see one another. Conversations can spark new insights, strengthen existing bonds, and even form unexpected friendships.
Life brings both joy and challenge. Sometimes our “plates” feel beautifully full—answered prayers, milestones, and blessings. Other times they feel heavy—unsettling news from a doctor, a missed opportunity, or the quiet weight of responsibilities we carry. Trying to keep all those plates spinning can be exhausting.
But we don’t have to do it alone.
Here, we will navigate life’s ups and downs together. We will gather at this table as a foundation—a place to connect with our children, our friends, our families, and one another. A place where laughter and tears coexist. Where support is freely given. Where faith grows. Where life, in all its fullness, is shared.
I’m so glad you’re here. Pull up a chair. Let’s gather at the table.
